Privacy Policy

The CRYbuddies Privacy Policy lists CRY's policies with respect to children in the age group 10 to 14. CRY recognises the need to provide additional privacy protection to children visiting CRYbuddies.

Children can visit most parts of the site without having to register or disclose any personal information.

Register to Interact

Children need to register in order to play games, submit or view art, reviews and interact in any other way on 'Funzone' or 'Get Involved' section of the site. We collect the following information during registration: name (first and last), sex, city, e-mail address, birth date, school, member name, password, parent's name and e-mail address. We collect birth dates to validate the age . We do not collect any other personally identifiable information from children during registration.

We wont tell

This information is used to personalize communications to the child, and maybe send future communication like an email newsletter and updates . We do not share any registration information with third parties for commercial purposes.

We need your parent's permission

We inform parents, by e-mail, about their child having registered on CRYbuddies, asking them to revert within 3 days in case they have any objections or require any clarifications. If a parent refuses to allow the registration, we delete the information from our database. If we don't hear back from the parent, we assume it is acceptable for the child to be registered on CRYbuddies. At any time subsequent to registration, if a parent asks us to un-register their child from CRYbuddies, we will do so.

Since CRYbuddies is a part of www.cry.org, the Privacy Policy on www.cry.org is applicable here too.
