The 4 Rights
In 1989, the United Nations Convention for the Rights of Children, declared that anyone under the age of 18 will be considered a child. India was one of the countries who signed this convention. USA and Sudan did not.

Indian Constitution
In India, the Constitution promises ALL CHILDREN some basic rights. Under this ALL CHILDREN have the right to live a safe, healthy childhood.
Did you know this? Do you think children in our country realize that life, food, education, health, and even playtime, are RIGHTS?
The Constitution also says one very very important thing- that all children are equal- no matter what caste, or class, or city, or village, or religion they belong to. No matter if the child is a boy or a girl. No matter if the child stands first in class or not. No matter if the child is unable to walk properly, or struggles to talk without stammering, or has lost one hand or leg. ALL CHILDREN ARE EQUAL AND HAVE EQUAL RIGHTS.
Yet...
Many children in our country die of starvation every day - Lakhs of villages don’t have a hospital
- Many children are forced to work to feed their families
- Everyday, we see children begging
- Many villages don’t even have ONE school!
Why!!!
